North Wind Bar & Kiteschool

FTX Holidays owns and operates the NORTH IKO Kite Surf School right on the spit in Porto Pollo and also has a base in the kite zone 800m upwind, making kiting here very comfortable . With everything from beginner courses to advanced private lessons and rentals of all the new season North equipment to equipment storage, all level of kiters are accommodated.

Windbar is a cafe/resto/bar/kiteschool and is an ideal location to base yourself in between kite sessions. With hammocks, bean bags, great food, sunsets, aperitivos, good tunes, dj’s, parties, bbq’s and great people, you will love just hanging out here.

The Area
For the intermediate and advanced kiter, Porto Pollo is a great base to access many other kite spots in the N.E  of Sardinia. Being in a very specially located area with many different wind directions and strengths, within an hour or so you have the option of kiting many different locations on your holiday. From great wave locations to the north and west, mirror flat lagoons, island locations and many other bays, there will be something for everyone on the day.  Further afield Sardinia has a great number of kiting spots, which the Freshtraxxx crew are often making missions too, so feel free to jump in and ride some of the best kiting conditions in Europe.

Courses and Lessons
With a fully equipped NORTH IKO Kite School we can cater for all your needs. Kites and boards are all North.  Wetsuits, harnesses  and jackets by Ion. Our lessons/courses are all radio headset assisted and once you're getting onto the board, we will follow you around in our R.I.B’s for safety and no time wastage. All lessons are a full hour from when you hit the water and our courses will leave you with IKO qualification, used worldwide. The school boasts English, Italian, Spanish, French, German speaking instructors all with years of experience so you get the most out of the lessons.

Porto Pollo is an unbelievable place for kite surfing , ideal for all levels. It is divided into 2 large bays by a sand spit, providing butter smooth water on one side and a huge 2km moon shape bay, ideal for learning, freeriding and free style, on the other.
